Residential Use Commercial Use Industrial Use

The 3K74 range of High Security Mortice Sashlocks are probably the most well known and specified locks of their type in the British security market and are suitable for securing both domestic and commercial/industrial entrance doors. Offering excelent protection against all forms of common attack, this lock features a positive 20mm throw solid brass deadbolt with hardened steel anti-saw rollers, hardened steel anti-drill side plates and anti-pick levers. Certified to BS3621 and recommended by insurance companies and the police. This lock can be used for new applications or as a replacement for older locks and is approved for use on fire rated timber doors in accordance with current regulations. The heavy duty latch roller bolt is non handed and will suit left or right hand hung doors without modification. Originally bearing the Chubb name, this lock is now manufactured under the Union brand name. Produced in the same factory by the same people and using the same technology and parts, this lock remains "Chubb at Heart".

This lock is standard sprung and requires lever handles with integral springing in the rose or backplate. To avoid fixing screws fouling the lock body use handles with backplates where fixings positions are adequately spaced. NOT recommended for use with door knobs.

Can be fitted to double doors with rebated meeting stiles when used with the rebate conversion set in the Related Items section below.

Detailed advice on the selection of mortice locks and latches can be found in our [Mortice Locks & Latches Specification Guide].
