10 Year Guarantee Residential Use Commercial Use Industrial Use

An English pattern 119 Weighty Scotch T (Tee) Strap Hinge manufactured from heavy gauge Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel for harsh external applications. This 12" (300mm) version is suitable for heavier doors and gates etc up to 30" (750mm) wide and is recommended for use in areas subject to adverse conditions such as coastal areas and swimming pools.

Tee hinges are designed to be fitted to the opening face of doors with both the horizontal strap and vertical frame plate being visible when the door is in the closed position. As a rule of thumb, light to medium weight doors (soft wood, pine) will require hinges approx one third to half the door width. For heavier doors (eg solid oak) select a hinge one half to two thirds the door width. For doors over 84" (2100mm) high we recommend a third hinge fitted centrally.

Lubricate immediately after fitting and periodically thereafter - at least twice yearly. An occasional clean with stainless steel cleaner will help preserve the finish when fitted externally.

Two hinges (1 pair) as described complete with countersunk Pozidrive woodscrews in matching finish.

These hinges are normally held in stock for immediate despatch. If we are temporarily out of stock you should allow approximately 3 to 5 days for despatch.
