This quality Euro DIN Style Cylinder Mortice Nightlatch Case (slam lock) can be fitted as an alternative to more common surface mounted "Yale" type locks to provide automatic locking on entrance doors or in conjunction with a panic latch on emergency exit doors. The latch bolt is withdrawn externally by key (using a euro profile single cylinder) and internally by lever handle furniture (using a half set of handles) or by panic exit device. The lock may also be operated with key both sides (euro double cylinder) or by external key/internal thumbturn (euro key and turn cylinder). The lock features an anti-thrust bolt to prevent manipulation of the latch bolt by credit card etc. The latchbolt is easily reversible on site to suit left or right hand hung doors. This mortice nightlatch is suitable for FD30/FD60 rated doors in light to medium use settings. For full compliance on fire doors, this lock MUST be fitted with appropriate intumescent material on both door and frame.

To keep this mortice lock in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of light machine oil (3 in 1). Wipe clean with an oil impregnated cloth.
