Cylinder Rim Nightlatches are normally fitted to the inside face of inward opening doors. However, it is possible on some models to reverse the latchbolt making them suitable for doors opening out. When this function is required it is not possible to use the standard frame keep supplied and an alternative strikeplate has to be used instead. This Angled Strikplate is designed to wrap around the frame stop and can be used with any of the nighlatches listed in the "Related Items" section below.
Use of this strikplate requires the nighlatch body being fitted away from the door edge by the thickness of the frame stop. You will, therefore, need to account for this measurement when selecting your nightlatch and when fitting.
