'Split Follower' locks are designed so that the internal handle/knob has a different function to the external handle/knob. For example, the internal handle may withdraw both the latchbolt and the deadbolt (for emergency escape) while the external handle withdraws the latchbolt only. When door handles or knobs are fitted to a 'Split Follower' lock they require a corresponding 'Split Spindle' to allow the lock to function correctly.
This Split Spindle is suitable for use with any of our Split Follower locks including those from our Winkhaus multipoint and Euro DIN lock ranges. The spindle can be cut down to suit a range of door thicknesses up to 90mm (where locks are fitted centrally and where handle backplate thicknesses allow).
