The Winkhaus FGTE Thunderbolt Multipoint Lock System is a twin handle solution for double doors and is ideal for inward or outward opening entrance doors and other external doors in domestic settings requiring a high security yet cost effective and versatile locking system. The Thunderbolt lock on the master door has twin nickel plated alloy deadbolts locking directly into the slave lock which has 8mm square tri-laminate shootbolts that locate into fully adjustable steel keeps at the head and cill. The versatility of the FGTE system allows for it's use on a range of door heights and for alternative handle height positions - please refer to the 'Door/Handle Height" tab.
Finished in corrosion resistant Silver and supplied here as a complete set with top/bottom shoots and keeps. Individual component parts can be purchased via the relevant product link in the "Related Items" section below.
The FGTE Thunderbolt system uses cropable top and bottom shootbolts to allow adjustment of both the door height and handle height measurements. Door height measurements in the drop down options list are shown from the minimum (with the top bolt being fully cropped) to the maximum (with the top bolt uncropped). In all cases, the handle height measurement is set at 1050mm (with the bottom bolt uncropped).
Shorter doors and lower handle heights can be accomodated by cropping the bottom shootbolt by up to 73mm. Obviously, maximum door heights decrease proportionally when decreasing the handle height.
This lock set is handed Left Hand or Right Hand and care must be taken to specify the correct hand when ordering.
For optimum security this lock set should be fitted with TS 007 3 Star cylinders (see our ULTION Maximum Security range) or TS 007 1 Star cylinders with 2 Star cylinder guard (see our Adapta Prime High Security range). We recommend master and slave door cylinders are Keyed Alike.
Lever handle furniture MUST be of a type that allows the handle to be lifted. Handle backplates should be compatible with the lock centres measurement and fixing centres measurements. Please refer to the relevant technical drawings.
