This quality Euro DIN Style Cylinder Mortice Escape Sashlock Case can be used with any of our Euro Profile Cylinder Lock Barrels to provide a range of locking functions and is a good choice for both residential and medium use commercial applications. The split-follower Anti-Panic function allows easy exit in the event of an emergency and is an ideal solution for apartment entrance doors where locks are required to provide a single action means of escape even when the deadbolt is thrown. Depending on the application the lock can be used in a variety of ways including (but not limited to):
- External key throws/retracts deadbolt & retracts latchbolt - Internal handle retracts deadbolt & latchbolt (using a single cylinder and half set lever handle).
- External key throws/retracts deadbolt, handle retracts latchbolt - Internal key throws deadbolt, handle retracts deadbolt & latchbolt (using a double cylinder and full set lever handle).
- External key throws/retracts deadbolt, handle retracts latchbolt - Internal thumbturn throws deadbolt, handle retracts deadbolt & latchbolt (using a key/thumbturn cylinder and full set lever handle).
The lock features an anti-thrust bolt to prevent manipulation of the latch bolt by credit card etc. Both the the latchbolt and split-follower function are easily reversible on site to suit inward or outward opening, left or right hand hung doors.

This lock is supplied heavy sprung for use with 'unsprung' or 'self-sprung' lever handle furniture. Full handle sets require the addition of a suitable split-spindle to allow the lock to function correctly.
This mortice lock is suitable for FD30/FD60 rated doors in light to medium use settings. For full compliance on fire doors, this lock MUST be fitted with appropriate intumescent material on both door and frame.

To keep this mortice lock in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of light machine oil (3 in 1). Wipe clean with an oil impregnated cloth.
