Our Rustix Beeswax is an authentic finish applied to hand forged steel. During the forging process our Rustix products develop a spectrum of colours from blue/green to deep red ochre. To preserve these beautiful colours the still hot products are then quenched in molten beeswax to give a subtle, matt richness to the metal. This process offers excellent protection when the products are fitted internally and properly maintained.
To ensure the finish on your Rustx Beeswax product always remains at its best we recommend a periodic application with a quality beeswax polish. This adds further protection to the metal and helps to prevent any rust or white blooms forming. This finish is NOT recommended for external applications.
