Intumescent Liner Packs should be used when fitting mortice locks & latches to fire rated timber doors. In the event of fire, the intumescent material expands to seal the door & frame around faceplates, strikeplates & handle spindles to prevent the ingress/egress of hot gases. Our pre-cut intumescent liner packs are suitable for use with the locks and latches referred to in the individual product descriptions.
