The Thunderbolt Multipoint Lock is an ideal solution for entrance doors and other external doors in domestic settings requiring a high security yet cost effective and versatile locking system. The chamfered twin deadbolts are designed to allow a high degree of fitting tolerence for door installation. In addition, the deadbolt shape provides low operating forces and helps doors achieve a higher level of weather performance. This version has 'Key-Turn Operation' whereby all of the bolts can be thrown or retracted by turn of the key or cylinder thumbturn.
- Cylinder Operation Only (Slam Lock Function): Deadlocking is achieved by two full turns of the key or thumbturn to throw the bolts. A reverse turn of the key/thumbturn will withdraw the bolts. When the lock is not deadlocked a quater turn of the key/thumbturn will withdraw the sprung latchbolt. This set up would normally require the addition of static pull handles or cylinder pulls to open/close the door.
- Lever Handle & Cylinder Operation: Deadlocking is achieved by two full turns of the key or thumbturn to throw the bolts. A reverse turn of the key/thumbturn will withdraw the bolts to unlock the door. The sprung latchbolt is withdrawn by lever handle both sides.
- Half-Set Lever Handle & Cylinder Operation (Slam Lock Function): Deadocking is achieved by two full turns of the key or internal thumbturn to throw the bolts. A reverse turn of the key/thumbturn will withdraw the bolts to unlock the door. The sprung latchbolt is withdrawn by a quater turn of the key externally or by lever handle internally. Half-set handles will normally require a suitable half-spindle - see the 'Related Items' section below.
This lock is supplied WITHOUT centre strikeplate or bolt keeps. Suitable strike and keep sets can be found in the 'Related Items' section below.
Important: Winkhaus locks are finished with a corrosion resistant electroplating. However, care should be taken when fitting to highly acidic woods such as oak and accoya or in extreme coastal locations. Contact between the lock and bare timber should be avoided. Where possible, timber should be painted or varnished prior to fitting the lock especially under and around the faceplate. For best results we recommend the use of our 3 Part Corrosion Protection Kit.

This lock is site reversible to suit left hand or right hand applications.
For optimum security this lock should be fitted with a TS 007 3 Star cylinder (see our ULTION Maximum Security range).
To keep this multi-point lock in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of light machine oil (3 in 1) to all moving parts. Wipe clean with an oil impregnated cloth.
